He removed all of the Pepsi from the store shelves

A store owner in Athens, Alabama, made a decision that has caused people to have contrasting points of view and has created an online conversation after deciding not to sell two particular Pepsi products.

Phillip Stewart, the owner of S&Z Grocery, stated that he was unable to sell any products with the NFL’s insignia since he did not agree with the organization.

I don’t want to give them any kind of support at all. He explained his reasoning by telling WAFF, “Because I just feel like it’s wrong.” “I can’t sell the product in good conscience because it does have the logo on it,” he concluded. “I’m sorry.”

Steward wrote a message on Facebook in which he notified his customers that he would no longer be selling the things because he was against the way that some NFL players had disrespected the flag by kneeling during the playing of the national anthem.

By kneeling during the playing of the national anthem, a number of athletes were demonstrating their disapproval of the treatment of people of color and the excessive force used by police.

Stewart acknowledged that he was aware of the athletes’ point of view and then added, “There are other ways to deal with it.”

“This has brought attention to it, and I’m sure there is good that comes from this, but I just don’t agree with the tactic,” he added. “This has brought attention to it.”

This shop owner had nothing against Pepsi or the cause that the demonstration was supporting. Instead, he persists in marketing their products rather than those that bear the NFL logo.

Although there were those who thought Stewart’s decision was illogical, there were also those who admired him for standing up for what he believed in.
