Donnie gave the receipt to waitress Bethany, a single mother, and warned her not to look at it until after he and his wife had left IHOP

It should not be surprising that many people must labor nonstop in order to survive given the situation of the world today.

You’ve probably heard a lot about those who try to manipulate the system; about the select few who seem to get by without working; about those who manage to maintain their lifestyles without working; and about those who benefit from the kindness of others.

But for every “freeloader,” there are countless honest, ethical individuals who toil diligently to support themselves. Even though some of these people may be struggling financially, they still working as many hours as they can each day to try to make ends meet.

Bethany Provencher is one of them, according to sources. She lived in Miami for 18 years as a dedicated single mother with an 11-year-old son before relocating to St. Charles, Illinois a few years ago in search of a new beginning.

Bethany was able to secure a job at an IHOP in the area and sign a lease for a brand-new apartment in The Magic City because of her 25 years of expertise in the customer service industry.

Even still, she knew that things would be challenging for a time because, by all accounts, she had been unable to appropriately furnish her new apartment due to a lack of funds.

Then, the day before the new year, a famous couple walked into the IHOP Bethany was working at and took a seat in her area of the restaurant.

Bethany recognized the man right away as Donnie Wahlberg, who was with his wife Jenny McCarthy.

According to reports, Bethany struggled to contain her joy. The waitress had always had a special place for Donnie in particular since she adored the band Donnie was in, New Kids on the Block.

Therefore, Bethany was ecstatic to be working with him. She had no idea how significantly that day would affect the rest of her life.

The artist paid the $35.27 tab after Donnie and his family finished their lunch and left a note for Bethany to read on the ticket. Thanks, Bethany, and happy new year were written next to a cartoonish grin.

Donnie reportedly pleaded with Bethany to wait to examine the receipt until he and his wife had left the IHOP. When Bethany finally checked the receipt, she was astonished to learn that Donnie had left her and her coworkers a $2,020 tip.

In the video below, Donnie’s kindness is discussed further:

Wow! What a kind act, and I’m sure it meant a lot to Bethany after her major relocation to Illinois!
