Two Abusive Teachers Are Fired One Day After Mom Hides Microphone In Autistic Son’s Backpack

There’s nothing a mother wouldn’t do for her child’s well-being. Children become the center of their parents’ lives from the minute they are born. The children will always be children in their parents’ eyes, no matter how old they get, as they grow and develop into human beings who eventually have their own families.

Parents of children with special needs confront additional barriers and hardships, but they, like any other parent, go above and beyond to ensure their children’s pleasure.

Melissa Davis, the mother of 12-year-old Camden, an autistic kid, saw a drastic change in her son’s behavior nearly overnight. Camden ceased to be the joyful and quiet youngster he once was. Because he is nonverbal, this frightened mother had no means of knowing what was going on. She tried to recall any circumstances at home that might have influenced Camden’s behavior, but nothing came to mind.

Her son began peeing on the bed at night and becoming violent for no apparent reason, among the changes she saw.

Because she was positive that nothing at home could possibly cause Camden to act strangely, she reasoned that it could be something going on at school that was influencing her son’s behavior.

Camden enrolled at the Hope Academy in Louisiana in 2017. The school emphasized non-discriminatory education for students with special needs.

Around a year after he joined at Camden, he saw that things were changing.

Melissa decided to put an audio recorder in her son’s suitcase to make sure nothing horrible happened while she was away. Camden returned home from school as the day progressed. Melissa then got out the recorder and pushed the record button. Her entire world was turned upside down at that point. Her heart was shattered into a million pieces by what she heard. Camden was subjected to a lot of bullying.

The teacher and the helper, not the other kids, were the ones who mistreated Camden.

The mother, who spoke to WBRZ, was shocked and said:

“BECAUSE IT WAS SO BAD, I JUST WANTED TO CRY, SCREAM, AND DO EVERYTHING I COULD.”

Melissa decided to post about what had happened on social media and in the newspapers in order to seek justice.

“If your child has special needs, look into why they’re acting that way because no child deserves to go through what my child went through,” she encouraged other special needs parents.

It quickly went viral.

The story went viral very quickly.
