‘1000-Lb Sisters’ star Amy Slaton’s ex-husband “became violent” and forced her to call 911

Less than a week after she contacted 911 on her soon-to-be ex-husband Michael Halterman for reportedly turning “aggressive” during an altercation, 1000-Lb Sisters star Amy Halterman (née Slaton) began a domestic violence case and filed a protective order against him on Tuesday, February 28.

The paperwork was amended on March 8 to allow the 40-year-old to have “supervised contact with children” as long as his mother and sister are present. This likely refers to his 2-year-old son, Gage, and 8-month-old son, Glenn, who he shares with Amy.

According to the 911 dispatch record, Amy called emergency services on February 24 on a Friday afternoon, alleging that the father-of-two was “throwing objects” and “being violent” during an altercation.

The report explained that neither Amy nor Michael were under the influence of alcohol or drugs when the officer arrived at their Kentucky home, and that the argument began because “Amy wants to split, but the male doesn’t want to.”

At the time of the domestic dispute, Gage and Glenn were both present in the home.

Michael formally filed for divorce with the state of Kentucky 17 days later.

After the incident, Amy and her two boys left their Kentucky home and are now residing with their older sister Tammy, 36, at her own home.

According to a source who revealed the shocking divorce, “no one in the family likes Michael,” adding that Amy’s brothers believe “he’s lazy with the kids, and jealous of the care Amy pays to the boys.”

On a recent episode of the popular TLC series, Michael’s claimed lethargy as a husband and father was investigated when Amy became upset after Michael left her to care for fussy Gage and Glenn alone while appearing to disregard her and the children at a family gathering.

Her half-sister Amanda reprimanded her, saying, “You’re not supposed to be doing this s**t by yourself.” “You are married, and your husband is also supposed to be a father to you.”
