Kevin Scheunemann, the restaurant owner, defended the sign by saying that it had been up for almost four years to be clear about his and his staff’s service to God and the country. Scheunemann said he put up the sign because a customer had complained about Christian music being played in the restaurant. Since then, the sign hasn’t caused any more trouble.
