A young man made a shocking discovery during a hike.

A young man from Peterborough, England, made a shocking discovery during a hike.

The boy had just come out of a forest and had a huge plateau in front of his eyes. At one point he noticed an area where many round things could be seen, which were abnormal and were not part of the landscape.

He decided to take a step and approach them, to see what they are. When he got close he had a shock! What he thought were tennis balls were actually a lot of live chicks, which hadn’t been out of the egg for more than a day.

It seems that they were abandoned in that field by several unknown people and left to die. Authorities have been called to the scene and an investigation is underway.

The birds were rescued, but not all of them survived.
