Candace Cameron Bure Fires Back After She’s Attacked For Defending Traditional Marriage

This week, we reported that “Full House” and “Fuller House” star Candace Cameron Bure was facing criticism after claiming that her new network, Great American Family, will prioritize programming promoting “traditional marriage.”

Cameron Bure, who joined the GAF network earlier this year as the chief creative officer, is now responding to her detractors and isn’t backing down.

After declaring earlier this week that the GAF network will “keep conventional marriage at the core” of its storytelling, Cameron Bure, 46, was called a “bigot.” The always classy chose to take the high road and made a statement in which she stood by her opinions and refused to budge from the principles she holds dear.

“I Am A Committed Christian,” Cameron Bure declared. “Those of you who know me, know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I have great love and affection for all individuals.” It completely aches my heart that anyone might assume I would wish to hurt or insult somebody on purpose.

The actress continued, “It saddens me that the media is frequently looking to divide people, even around a subject as comfortable and happy as Christmas movies. Yet I shouldn’t be shocked given the toxic environment that exists in our culture at the moment. Christmas is more important than ever.

Cameron Bure didn’t stop there; she continued to reiterate her staunch Christian convictions, for which she has long been renowned.

“I am an enthusiastic Christian. Thus, I consider that each and every person carries God’s image. As a result, I am obligated to love everyone, which I do. You already know that I have a fierce and indiscriminate love for everyone,” she said. “My heart yearns to build bridges, to love others well, to simply be a reflection of God’s enormous love for all of us,” the author writes.

Cameron Bure Answers Her Critics Straightforwardly Then, Cameron Bure addressed those who have been disparaging her nonstop for the past few days, both in the media and outside of it.

“I have a straightforward message for the media professionals who are using this occasion to feed the flames of hostility and hatred: I love you nevertheless. I love you, those who despise my values and harass me online. I love you, to those who have attempted to undermine my character,” she stated. “I love you,” the author writes to everyone who reads this, regardless of their ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or affiliation with a certain political party.
