Dolly Parton is known for her glamorous appearance in public, and the singer has stated that she enjoys dressing up at home as well, even when it’s just her and her husband of 57 years, Carl Dean.
During an interview in the year 2022, Dolly Parton says, “I like to dress up for Carl.”
“Every day, before I leave the house, I fix my hair and put on some makeup because I always have the mentality that ‘Well, the whole world, I’m out here, and everybody else sees me all dressed up.'” I’m not going to go home and roll over for him like that.”
Due to the fact that they have been married for close to six decades, Parton and Dean have observed virtually every facet of one another. The singer claims that she puts forth just as much effort into maintaining her appearance for herself as she does for her husband.
In response, Dolly Parton exclaims, “Well, I think it helps!” when she was asked whether it was the secret to keeping her marriage fresh after all of these years, she responded by saying, “Nobody wants to make out with a slouch.”
“I suppose it’s helpful to keep things interesting and a little spicy.”
The country queen who was just recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will release her first rock album, titled Rock Star, in the month of November. The album features contributions from a who’s who of the rock music genre. It is well known that Parton has kept things “spicy” throughout her career.
The legend debuted the first tune from the album, titled “World on Fire,” as she and Garth Brooks were co-hosting the 2023 Academy of Country Music Awards together.
