Nicole Zettel, Kris Jenner’s niece, said in a statement that her mother Karen Houghton died at the age of 65.
Karen died in San Marcos, California. As a part-time nurse and writer, she tried to stay out of the public eye.
Natalie Jenner lost her mother when she was only 26 years old. She was the same age as Kylie Jenner, who is a famous first cousin.
Natalie shared a bunch of old photos of her mom on Instagram on Tuesday, along with a very sad message for Karen.
These pictures are of her mother from many years ago, and she looks a lot like her sister Kris.
Natalie shared some pictures of their mother, Mary Jo “MJ” Campbell.
“Dear Mommy,” she began her Instagram message.
“I can’t believe you’re not here.” It doesn’t even seem real. I hope to squeeze your hand, kiss your cheek, or hear your voice one more time.
She then said that Karen was her “best friend,” “everything,” and “the best mother a daughter could ever ask for.”
“You were the most kind, sweet, loving, giving, and caring soul,” Natalie said. There was no stopping your heart.
“And I don’t know how to go on without you.”
“Everything happened so fast, and I wasn’t ready for you to leave,” she said.
“On March 18, 2024, an angel was sent to heaven.” “I love you, Mommy, and I will miss you always.”
It also had other pictures, like a picture of Natalie as a baby on her mother’s chest, in a silver frame that said “Miracle of Life” on it.
A cute picture of Karen when she was much younger stood with an older man. She was wearing a pink striped shirt and a white tennis skirt.
A white and black fluffy dog that looked like it would never leave her arms was also seen with her several times.
Natalie also shared a cute picture of herself and Karen dressed up for Halloween. Karen was dressed as a witch.
Too soon gone
The exact cause of Karen’s death is still unknown, but according to TMZ, officials think she died of natural causes.
Kris wrote an Instagram post about her sister and shared some pictures of her and Karen.
She wrote, “It is with heavy hearts and deepest sadness that I tell you that my sister Karen died suddenly yesterday.”
“My mom, MJ, and my niece, Natalie, are in my thoughts and prayers during this hard time. May God guide us all.”
“Karen was lovely on the inside and out.”
“She was the sweetest, kindest, the most sensitive and vulnerable and so so funny.”
The Kardashian went on to say how thankful she was for Natalie and her sister.
This was Kris’s chance to remind everyone how “short and precious” life is.
