The world-famous Presley family hasn’t exactly had an easy go of it lately.
Grief hasn’t even been the worst thing for Lisa Marie Presley’s loved ones to deal with since her awful, unexpected death on January 12, 2023. There has been squabbling over the Presley properties and Lisa Marie’s bequest, and rumors suggest that Priscilla Presley and Riley Keough, Lisa Marie’s mother, are at odds.
However, Lisa Marie’s twin daughters, Finley and Harper Lockwood, received their middle school diplomas last week, which was cause for joy.
Soon after, a photo of the ladies with their respective red and blond hairstyles appeared on Instagram. Fans immediately saw that Priscilla and Riley had also joined them for the photo.
But what many found surprising was how mature Finley and Harper now appear.
Happy Graduation gals! was the caption Priscilla posted beside the image on social media. You’re now a senior in high school!”
According to sources, Michael Lockwood, the twins’ father, was chosen as their legal guardian in April, three months after Lisa Marie passed away.
However, as already mentioned, the legal path forward following Lisa Marie’s passing was more challenging. Finding the trustee of her inheritance was a drawn-out procedure that was only finished last week.
Riley, the daughter of Lisa Marie, eventually took over as the only trusty, and Priscilla’s lawyer said that “everyone is happy, unified, together, and excited for the future.”
Meanwhile, Priscilla tried to deny allegations of conflict between herself and Riley, her granddaughter, in a filing on June 13.
She stated at the time, “My January 2023 petition was misinterpreted in the news as a ‘battle’ for my dear daughter’s trust. The intention was not that… The loss of my daughter was terrible and tragic. We have discovered that our supporters are aware that we are “Just A Family.”
Elvis would be proud, and Lisa and his wishes are what matter most to all of us, she added. My team and I worked assiduously and persistently to help my granddaughter and her counsel put all misconceptions behind us as a family.
Whatever the case, Finley and Harper’s graduation picture seems to indicate that any divisions among the Presley ranks are starting to mend.
