The Young and the Restless star passed away

The star of “The Young and the Restless,” Marla Adams, has died.

The actress who won an Emmy was 85 years old.

Matt Kane, who is in charge of media and talent for The Young and the Restless, told everyone about the news on Thursday.

His word was that she passed away in Los Angeles, California.

Marla was best known for her part as Dina Abbott Mergeron on the famous soap opera.

THEIR JOB
Marla was born in Ocean City, NJ, on August 28, 1938.

She went to The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City after graduating from high school in 1956.

In the late 1950s, Marla became a Broadway star.

In The Visit, she was in it with Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne.

In 1961, she went back to the stage with Natalie Wood in Splendor in the Grass.

From 1968 to 1974, she played Belle Clemens on the CBS daytime drama The Secret Storm. In 1974, her character died.

Her first job was as Dina Abbott Mergeron on The Young and the Restless in 1982, eight years after that.

But her contract with the show ended after three years, so she was only on it for that long.

She still made guest appearances on the show in 1991, 1996, 2008, and 2017, even though that was her reason.

One more time, Dina came back in 2020, and fans saw her sad death.

A Daytime Emmy has been given to Marla for her part in the drama show.

Marla talked about what it was like to be on the show after filming her last scene.

“Of all the characters I’ve played from The Secret Storm to Broadway, this has been the most astonishing, amazing part I’ve ever had the privilege to play,” she said.

Fans talked about “YOU WILL BE MISSED” on X, which used to be Twitter.

“She was great as Dina.” “Rest in peace, Marla Adams. You will be missed by Y&R fans for sure,” someone wrote.

“Omg, how sad,” said someone else. I loved this winner of an Emmy. “Rip.”

“My deepest condolences to her family, friends, and everyone who loved her,” said a third fan.

A fourth person said, “She was incredibly talented.”
